I can't sleep past 8 am anymore

exactly. I wake up at 4am during the week for work. By 6am on the weekend. If I sleep any later than that I feel as if my whole day is wasted.

How is it wasted? If you mean daylight hours, sure, but if you mean by how long you are up before you next go to sleep, then just stay up a couple extra hours.

exactly, I'll wake up early unless I go to sleep at around 4am or later.
 
Uggh. I usually hate waking up early but last night I had a pretty bad fever (got a tetnis/psomething shot yesterday) and I slept till 2pm.
 
My sleep hours during the week days are from around either (12 am - 6 am) or (1 am - 6:45 am).

On the weekend, they're something more like (4 am - 12 pm). Today, though, was an exception even for me... (3 am - 4:45 pm).
 
I usually screw up my sleep schedule over the weekend and it takes until Wed. to get back on it (11pm-7am). I've noticed that I require less sleep as I get older. It's almost impossible to sleep more than 8-9 hours anymore. In my teenage years I would routinely sleep 12 hours on the weekends, I kind of miss it.
 
I try to get up early, it just doesnt happen. I use to be able to get up at 7am every day for cartoons when I was in elementary school, I now sleep in every day till like 11am-noon, thank god I work afternoons/evenings.
 
Wish that was my case, but nope. Been working for a month now (summer), getting up at about 7:30 daily; I auto-woke at 7, then figured out that I 'could' go as late as 7:30 so I did. Long story short, woke up at 2:30 today. There goes my weekend...
 
That sucks 🙁. I can't bring myself to sleep earlier than 11 this summer. Got up at 7:30 for community service and almost fell asleep while digging pots at 8. I got home at 11 and slept till 1...

Sleep is a blessing in the mornings... but a total waste in the night. Maybe it's just my age - but I work more efficiently late night than early morning, precisely why I scheduled all my classes past 11.

Try staying up all night past 8? That might break the cycle.
