Anyone else like this? when I watch a movie I want to watch all of it (especially if I own the blu-ray) but I can only seem to watch like 30-40 minutes at a time.

Nope. I can probably sit through a 12 hour marathon, with regular breaks as needed, pretty easily still. Not that I do such a thing, but I can and would enjoy it with the right company.

Um might need a break to get something to drink, get popcorn or other stuff but otherwise no.

I'm also like that. Can't watch anything with commercials either. DVR or nothing

Not this guy, watched two movies in a row last night and barely moved my ass off the couch while doing so.

No problems here. I put in Avatar to see how it looked on my new TV a couple of days ago. I don't even like Avatar that much, but I ended up sitting there an watching the whole thing. Avatar is well over 2 hours long I think. I also do stuff like read for hours at a time too though, so maybe I've trained myself to keep my interest in something without having some other thing pop into my head to distract me.

I can go through a marathon of TV show episodes for tens of hours if I let myself to, but full length movies it usually takes a really interesting one for me to finish in one sitting.

Not I. I come from a country where 3 hour movies are the standard. Hollywood movies feel like I am watching a full movie in half the time.

I have a hard time too. For a movie I need to psyche myself up, especially if I watch it on my TV(which is probably the main issue). I have a hard time being Passive for so long anymore.

Funny thing is though, I recently watched a ton of TV Series on Netflix. That's probably because at any moment I could pause and do something else on my PC as was deemed necessary.

Nope. I find myself more busy than not nowadays so when I do get a chance to veg out to a movie it's pretty easy to sit there and relax.

One of my friends is like this and it really makes me angry. He usually excuses it by insulting the movie when I have demonstrably better taste than him (he likes "Grandma's Boy!").

Smoke a blunt before you go in. Problem solved. May get kick out for laughing really loud randomly though.

Sounds like ADHD. I recommend shock treatments.

This.

When the rare occasion happens, and the house is empty save for me, I could watch all six Star Wars movies back to back with only breaks for bathroom and getting another beer. I loves me some movies.

I can sit through a whole movie but I have a strong preference for movies under 2 hours (preferably as close to 90 minutes as possible). It's been my experience that 3+ hour "epics" are just badly edited. I definitely can't watch two movies in a row.

I'm about to drive 45 minutes to watch a 2 hour Iranian movie. No, I don't think I'm like that

Is it because most movies coming out today are crap, or do you have a bladder the size of a pea?

Depends on the film. There are so many terrible films these days I will turn them off 30 minutes in.

I watched RED last night and it was pretty damn awesome. :)

Yes. This was a fun movie. Loved John Malkovich's character.

Try eliminating other distractions, particularly computers & internet, and commit the time to yourself & the movie.

For me, constantly being 'connected' and 'multitasking' at work has very much seeped into leisure time and every other aspect of my life. It's resulted in me always feeling a bit anxious.

Nowadays I even regularly have Netflix or a DVD running in one window while checking e-mail or surfing websites in another. It works, but I get much less out of the program.

Lock the door, turn off the PC and cell phone, turn down the lights and enjoy your show.
