That applet is only on Win2k Professional machines. If you want to add users the local machine, right click on my computer and go manage. Then expand Local Users and Groups, and you'll see what you need.

If the machine is on a Windows 2000 domain, you would add users to Active Directory.

Ok I got the first part. Can you please explain the second part?
"If the machine is on a Windows 2000 domain, you would add users to Active Directory"

How would i know that its ona windows 2k domain? and whats an active directory?
Thanks alot

I would check in Start-Programs-Administrative Tools, do you see Active Directoy Users and Computers? If so, if you open that up, you should see options for Users, try adding there.
If you see the option in Admin. Tools, your 2k Adv Server is on a domain I think (did you create one during setup?)

I wouldn't worry about it.

and whats an active directory?

Active Directory -- a structure supported by Windows® 2000 that lets any object on a network be tracked and located. Active Directory is the directory service used in Windows 2000 Server and provides the foundation for Windows 2000 distributed networks

Just add your users through computer management
