Not with this 15in Shamrock Tech monitor I have right now. It has served me well but, I would like to have it work a bit longer.

Though, some green did flash once in a while and it did have green at the startup but eventually flickered out. Now I can only see what the Red and Blue type colors. No sight of green...

If you know how to fix it without me getting hurt or paying alot of money please stand up. :) (though, it is inevitable... might as well get a nice 17in)

BTW, "Komet" is running on this crazy monitor.

ehh... cut a hole in the middle and fill it with water.

I don't think you can fix that.

check the connection to the computer. if those pins arent all touching, it will do that.

Good call iamwiz, I was just gonna say, I spent 2 weeks trying to figure out why the only colors my monitor at work would display were blue, yellow, and gray. Ended up being the that the connector wasn't on very well. Man I almost went blind staring at that monitor trying to get my work done!

what I would do, I cant see it, but give this a try, pull the cord from the video card, and on that socket, look at the pins. If any pins are bent, or not all the way to the end, pull it out with a pair of tweezers. you may need a carefully placed drop of superglue to hold it in (do not insert plug into video card until glue is completely dry of course.. ask how I know not to do this with hard drives :) the stuff doesnt dry as quickly as you may think, give it an hour) But if one of those pins is bent, or not contacting, depending on the pin, you will still have video, but either a color will be missing or too prominent. I would check this first.

UnixFreak,

I checked the pins. There are only 3 pins missing from the 15 and looking at another working monitor, I assume that there always 3 pins missing. All pins are not bent.

The thing is, after I leave the monitor off for a considerable time and turn it on again, the green part of the monitor shows up again and stays that way for 20 seconds straight. Then it flickers out leaving images in blue and red. Then after 1-2 minutes, it stops alltogether and no green.

Imaginer it could be something simple like a bad solder connection on the crt pc board located in the monitor... try to lightly bang on the side cabinet of the monitor... sometimes, when there are bad connections inside this will jar the connections enough to briefly see the color reappear...since you say it will show color when the monitor is "cold", I would say that, likely, you have bad connections
