They look fine. But can you resize them to 800 x 600?

Why, the point of the post is to show that kind of capabilites the G3 has, and resizing the will not do that. If you want them resized because they take too long to load, too bad.

Defeats the purpose of having the 4 megapixels then.

When will people learn it's not about the megapixels...it's about the sharpness. More megapixels does not mean better image. <sigh>

The problem is that the 4 megapixel capability only comes in handy when making BIG prints when you've got a sharp image first...for web usage it's worthless.

well, they make nice wallpapers on my 1600x1200 desktop

if he had made them smaller, i would have to stretch them, this way they look really good

I have a Sony DSC-V1 on the way and I can't wait!

Don't listen to these fools about images being too large ... can we say ... DIALUP!@?!?!

indeed. If you can't resize a picture and still look good then it's not worth it. Otherwise any 4MP camera will look good. Doesn't matter if it's a G3 or a Kodak Krap. For OBVIOUS reasons a macro taken with a 4MP is gonna look larger than a 3MP, 2MP but not necessarily better.

Again .. it's not about the MP.

Wow, I covet your camera!

/me still has my trusty ol' A40 (and sometimes I borrow dad's S230 when I need the tiny size.)

Dig the pix! nice job..... suggestion - get a "mister" to add the "DEW" drops... It takes some time to get the droplets to look right but its worth it... 😉
