Its not a diagonal measurement.

Cool, as long as all (case) fans are measured that way (the 80mm was just an example). Now I've got to find my tape measure and see how big a fan I need for this case...

EDIT: Looks like 100mm between mounting holes...

I have never heard of a 100mm fan, 92mm or 120mm sounds more correct.

92mm fan is about 83mm between hole centers, 120mm fan is about 105mm hole centers. But the hole centers are in inches across the diameter - 120mm is 5 7/8" on center across the diameter, etc.
