i cant seem to reformat my pc. everytime i try to reformat, the set up page doesnt recognize my drives. its says that there are no disks drives. or something like that. if i proceed, i will get a blue screen error.

Tech info:

setupdd.sys- address f7418cad base at f73ec000, datestamp 41107c8f

i dont know what all of this is about though, but i need to reformat. all of my files are now ".ink" files. i dont know why that is either. most programs run fine in that mode, but my steam games doesnt seem to want to work.

Can some one please shed some light on this.

Im running...

Intel C2D E6600
EVGA 7950
2 x WD Raptor 74GB
XP Home

You need a XP cd with SP2 integrated if using SATA drives, that or press F6 at startup when it asks if you need to load additional drivers and load the SATA controller drivers from there

Yes they should have come with the MOBO, usually on a CD. You use the CD to make a floppy disk with the drivers on the floppy. In the beginning of the windows XP install, you'll be asked to press F6. do it, and later Windows will prompt you to insert the floppy you made.

If Vista, the Nvidia drivers are native, others I don't know about.
