I can't move my arm, should I go see a doctor?

Last Saturday afternoon me and the guys played some pickup football....I was going for a tackle and ended up having two guys fall on top of me. I landed on my side, square on my left shoulder, with the two of them on top. We even had to end the game....grrrr...I hate having to do that. Anyway.....

Its four days later, I think I have more movement than I did Saturday and Sunday, but its still pretty sore and I've got a nice softball sized bruise showing up on my chest/shoulder area. Its swollen a bit, too, not as much as on Sunday, but noticeable. My whole shoulder area is just tight and sore. Especially along the top of my shoulder. I can move my arm, and raise it above my head, but it hurts when I do that. Turning my steering wheel is the worst though. You think its just a bruise and it'll get better? Did I fracture/break my clavicle or something? I don't want to go to a doctor just to have them tell me theres nothing they can do and it'll just take time. But if its serious I should probably go....maybe I just need to take more pain killers....

EDIT
Well, I went, blah blah blah, the tip of the clavicle is broken, I have a sling, etc. It sucks.....no contact sports for awhile! Anyway, I finally got my x-rays scanned somewhat, for what its worth:

Left Broken Clavicle
Right Normal Clavicle

I say best to get it checked out....it may only be a bad bruising but could be a torn ligament or something or even a minor fracture.

That sounds exactly like what happened to me when I broke my clavicle. The doctor didn't really do anything for mine since it wasn't a bad fracture and didn't have to be reset. He just gave me a sling to keep the weight off of it for the first few days.

I would have it checked out anyway cause if it's a bad break, and doesn't heal straight it will have to be rebroken/straightened.

Go see your doctor!

No, it's normal not to be able to move your arm. Most people can't.

OUCH! yeah, you definitely don't want that to happen. :Q

How do they break bones anyways? Pliers? Sledgehammer? Saw?

yeah I guess I wouldn't want it to heal crooked...that wouldn't help with the ladies, ya know? But, is there a way I can get it x-rayed and if theres nothing wrong not have to pay for it? It just irks me if I go in there, do tests, listen to BS about how I should have come in earlier, just to find out that it just needs time to heal. And then I still have to pay! Doctors need like a satisfaction, money back guarantee or something. Scam artists every one of them!

A week ago I woke up one morning and stepped out of bed, only to find that something was wrong with my foot. It hurt a lot to press down on. So for a few days I had to talk around on it but wasn't getting any better, so I immediately scheduled a chirpropractic appointment. Some how some of the bones were out of joint. Chiro held my foot a certain way and did a few quick tugs and *pop* *pop* back in place. Immediate relief. I guess I must have stepped on my foot wrong or bumped it coming up the stairs just the night before on my way to bed.

Moral of this story? Go see *somebody*, especially when it involves a bone/ligament/joint/tendon. If you fractured something and it heals wrong, it's much harder or nearly impossible to fix. If you ripped something and it heals all scarred up, it could cause problems down the road.
