That's pretty much it, I have an 80 gig WD IDE drive that the bios can detect just fine. For some reason I can't seem to get Windows to detect the drive. I don't know what else to do I have tried the add new hardware wizard but to no avail. The kicker of the whole thing is that I can see the hard drive in device manager but no in my computer...GAH!!! I don't know what to do, Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Does the disk have a valid partition? It shouldn't show up in My Computer until you have assigned a partition and a drive letter. If it's a new disk, you may have to write a disk signature for Win2K or XP.

Well, I guess it doesn't. It's not a new disk.. I took it out of one machine and put it in another. I'm going to try to see what disk management can do for me.
