Well I finally got it to post sorta. I moved the memory to the secound slot and now things show up on screen. The problem is I havent been able to get into BIOS yet. I also dont know what button to push. Bascially when I push the power button it takes a sec for the monitor to turn on. then it gives me a BIOS rom checklist error. It finds the keyboard and the it requests a floppy. so I gave it a floppy and now its wanting a system boot disk. What the heck is that? And how do I get around this? Im quite ready to get windows installed

Can you list the specs of your rig?

I don't think it's a major problem. You just need to clear the CMOS. It's jumper number 2 (JP2) right next to the battery. When you reboot again, hit DEL to get into the BIOS.

All motherboards have their share of problems. That being said, the DFI is still a great board. But it still need a couple of kinks to be worked out. Hopefully, it'll be addressed in the next BIOS update.

yeah I tried reseting the Cmos about a billion times. that never did work

but its ok now I got it to run 😀 What I had to do was take it to work and we ripped open a P4 and grabbed its 2 sticks fo DDR. Put them into the orange slots and WAM booted right up 🙂 loaded optimised defaults and wham my memory works and I got XP installed 😀
