when i first put together my a7v and tbird 700, i use to be able to get the the fsb to at least 107. but then i set it down to it's stock speed cuz it was fast enough for me. i tried oc'ing it again the other day and i can get it up 900. but no matter what speed a put it to, i can't get the fsb any higher than 100. i can't even get it at 6.5 x 103. if i set it any higher i get a blank screen...actually, i dont even get a blank screen - the monitor doesn't even get any signal. someone suggested resetting the cmos by shorting it. will this fix it? someone else also suggested flashing the bios back down to 1003 because i'm using 1004a. i dont know what's wrong.. what do you guys think? thanks

I had the same problem with 1003. I was only able to get 103 fsb, but now I can't get any fsb overclock....weird. Sandra keeps telling me that I have my fsb set too high even at 100mhz fsb? It says my pci and agp bus speeds are out of spec... I tried 1004a and it says the same...weird. System runs fine at 950 (9.5x) but occasionally reboots mid boot then in Bios says I exceded the ram/pci bus speed and sets it to 100mhz ram.... weird....lol. OK 12 hours at work and I'm getting goofy.

I reset my CMOS and it did work for me. BIOS version 1004. Just unplug case, and pull the CMOS battery out.
