I can't get sound after installing my yamaha cdrw drive:(

Hi there,

I can't get sound after installing my new yamaha 2200E cd-rw drive.........................................I have my cdrw drive set as Master...........I have my cdrom set as slave.................................I have a 3 in 1 40 pin connector connected to my motherboard-harddisk-cdrom............I have a separate 40 pin connector connected directly to motherboard and cd-rw drive................I also have two audio cables connected to my Hercules Game Theatre XP running from my cdrw and cdrom.........



I have an Asus A7m.......340 watt power supply.....herc GTXP............Windows 2000 SP2


so why can't I get sound from my speakers? when I try to play songs in winamp I get a message saying....."A deive ID has been used that is out of range for your system"...........................

is my config wrong? please help me.....
