I Can't Get On the Internet...

I can't seem to connect to the internet even though the ethernet is working fine. I connected the same damn cable to my other computer and here I am, writing about this online. Is there anything that I should check on the computer?

Check the network status on your other computer. Try renewing the IP. Ummm. That's all I can think to do.

You could start with providing "some" information about your network and what your seeing in terms of errors. Advice on troubleshooting couple with virtually zero pertinent information about your setup will go a long way in getting your thread ignored.

yes, check the ip and the firewall, did you try to access the internet from My Computer too?

Had exactly that problem this morning---and I discovered my net work interface ethernet drivers were corrupt---even though windows gave them a clean bill of health.
So I deleted and reinstalled---and back on the internet I went. Not saying this is your problem--but you have to try one thing after another--until you find the one thing that fixes it.
