I have a EPOX 8K3A+ with the HighPoint 372 controller on board. I have 2 Western Digital 30 GB 7200 WD300BB drives I'm trying to setup. When I connect both the drives, one at each port, I can't get into the RAID BOIS setup utility. It detects both of the drives and displays their information then computer just sits there waiting for me to press Ctrl-H to get into the RAID BIOS, but nothing happens. With both of them disconnected, I can get in. I've tried all kinds of settings and connections with these drives. They both work fine connected to the IDE ports.

What am I doing wrong?

Help please.

Make sure the drives are jumped as 'single' and not 'master'. Don't know if that is your problem but WD drives do strange things if they are the only drive on the channel and are not jumped as single.

Thanks, but I found out waht the problem was.

I had USB mouse support enabled in the BIOS. When I started to disable/enable things in the BIOS to eliminate everything, the USB mouse support was the culprit.

Some things...:disgust:
