I can't get AMD Cool n Quiet to work

How many DIMMs do you have populated?

Thats probably your problem, many S754 boards don't allow Cool n' Quiet when more then 1 DIMM is used.

I couldn't get C'n'Q to work on my 3200+ s754, 2 x 512mb. Then I installed XP x64, and it started working. Then I couldn't figure out how to turn it off when I needed to. So then I had to disable C'n'Q in BIOS so I can do my heavy tasking.

well, i got mine to work (not on purpose), when using XP x64.

mobo is an ECS 755-A2 socket 754

I've got an ASUS K8V-SE Deluxe - it's enabled in BIOS, set to Minimal Power Management. Nothing seems to ever happen. Always stays steady at 2.2 GHz (A64 3200+)
