I can't fully boot windows anymore

Here is my setup
-A64 3200 w/ MSI FIS2R mobo
-1 gig of ocz plat 4400
-1 9800 pro
- 2 x 36 raptors in raid 0
-nec 2500a dvd drive
-watercooled if that makes a difference

Well my computer has been fine for some time now and when I usually boot up my computer it goes right into my desktop. Until recently it boots up into the profiles section (i am not sure what the exact name is but it is the screen where there are different user proflies to choose from) which has never happned before. When i clicked my name (there is only one profile on the computer) it flashes my desktop screen and immeditly goes back to the profile screen and says on the bttom of my user name logging off and saving settings. Only thing i have tried is to boot into safe mode and that did not work. I'm a stuck and not sure what to do.
 
I found a similar instance where they used booted f-prot with a floppy but my mobo had a broken pin on my floppy so I think i am going to try to boot windows from an external hard drive and run a virus scan from there,
