I cant find maxtor drivers for my drive anywhere....

Hey, if anyone knows where I can find the SATA drivers for a maxtor diamondmax + 9 , Id really appreciate it... Im having one hell of a time trying to find em!
 
You need drivers for the SATA controller not for drives. They should be on your motherboard CD or if using a PCI card the CD or floppy that came with it.
 
Yup, though if it were a PATA HDD and you were trying to install a drive into a system with a 32GB hard disk space restriction (LBA 1st version). Yes there are drivers for drives like that, but they are installed in the first 64 sectors of the drive (I think) and if you format the drive it shouldn't cause issue (though fdisk could).
