I can't find any Radeon 5750 crossfire tests

the AT review showed 5770 crossfire results but I saw no 5750 results.

So i went to the other major reviewers.... and nothing

presumably the 5750 will be somewhat lower than the 5770, but I would like to see exactly how much lower. If you're wondering why somebody would want to crossfire 5750's when 2 5750's are about as much as a 5850, it's for an HTPC case.

If and a when CF scales reasonably well, dual 5770s are just as fast and are more often than not a smidgen faster than a 5870. Power consumption numbers are very similar as well. This isn't too surprising when considering that the 5770 is pretty much exactly half of a 5870 in every single way. The obvious problem is that you're SOL in games that don't scale, although that's obviously less of a problem if you're lucky and don't play those games. This problem is also made compromisable in the light that CF 5770s cost ~$320 vs. the ~$380 of a 5870.

Now from what I've seen, CrossFire with 5750s provides the same results - ie its just as fast if not faster than the 5850 if and when it does actually scale, and again the power consumption is similar whether you're using one 5850 or two 5750s. The difference in this situation is that both solutions will cost you and identical $260 upfront.

I'd only go with the 5750s if there was absolutely no way the 5850 would fit.

thanks model3. Too bad there aren't more game tests with 5750 xfire, but it looks like it will be noticeably slower than 5770's crossfired. Fitting 5770's (8.5 inch supposedly) into my case won't be easy. I barely get clearance with my 4770's.

On the other hand, if they come out with single slot 5750's im all over it.

The 5770 crossfire does occasionally meet or exceed the 5870...
