I can't enter the BIOS

I recently got a new HP system and it came with Windows Xp. I want to enter the BIOS of the computer, but I am having difficulty doing this because about after 3 seconds from turning on the comp, the windows xp loading screen comes on. does anyone know how I can enter my bios?

Not for sure on your system but as is the case with most systems you can short the bios jumper to set it to defaults which should allow you enter the bios...
