I can't degauss my monitor :(

I spent about 2 hours on the phone with dell tech support tonight. My monitor has some sort of rot going on. Eventually, the tech support named "aaron" who signs his emails "abhishek" gave up on the idea of degaussing my LCD and is shipping me a new one. I can't help but feel my problems would have been solved if Dell had included a degauss option on this monitor. 🙁
 
if you'd just degauss the stupid lcd your problems would be over. n00b.

🙁 I know. I tried so hard to degauss it to please Aaron/Ahbishek. 🙁 I wish I wasn't such a letdown!
 
The first lady I spoke with was convinced that my problem was that my laptop was a monitor. It took a while to convince her that it really was a monitor. Eventually she transferred me to some other line that seemed like permanent hold. It is sad how bad the support is. Here is to hoping that I get a 2007FP without banding problems though. :beer:

AMEN! I have to do that to my SNES each time to start it :laugh: Of course, if I do it while its running the game, the screen goes black and deletes all my saves 😕
