It was probably a mistake.

Notice how everyone else in that list at the bottom is called a douche, except MercenaryForHire. He might have been the intended target for that "douche" designation, and you might have been accidentally pasted in the list.

I'm just guessing here.

I like how "going out in style" has some how managed to become a perversion of what it used to be.

Colonel Jim Bowie (inventor of the Bowie knife) went out in style, he shot several of Santa Fe's bastards at Alamo before being stabbed to death--and he had malaria too.

That's going out in style, not some angsty ranting at people you don't know behind a keyboard.

Well, you joined in July of 05, and he made the post in Feb of 05.
Also, I think it was deleted very soon. So its a good think someone took a screenie.

I'd hazard a guess that it was probably because he created at least 4 threads, each with a subject something along the lines of "Red Dawn is a lovely human," and then started a second account to post yet another thread.

Does anyone find it ironic that shortly after a few examples of "going out in a blaze of glory" were mentioned in this thread, JohnCU tried to do that himself?

correction:
i Segue
a lot

It's a fun little ride. 75% of the time I'll go on a wild and crazy adventure for 99% of the post.

In most brains, the neurons just connect with nearby neurons.
In either of our brains, it seems more like they've formed some kind of subspace wormhole network, connecting to damn near anywhere, except not always predictably.

You just seem to type a lot faster than me, or else invest more time per thread. :)
My sister* can type somewhere past 100WPM. I seem to be stuck down around 40-50WPM; much faster, and my hands start to get out of sequence - one will type its letters faster than the other one, and so they get out of sync. Or I'll start thinking ahead to the next few sentences, and start typing them as well. Sucks. My backspace key gets an awful lot of abuse.:D
