i cant change my profile (email visibility)

i try to change it and it tells me someone already has the email address registered. then i get an email that says i changed my password and gives me a new automatized password. however that one doesnt work and the old one does. id like to participate in FS/FT but i cant unless i change this aspect. any way i can get some help?

Try deleting all your cookies and loggin in with the new password, then enable email profile. Or you could just add your email addy to your Sig.

i want to change my email address to "email address B," but it appears that "email address B" is already registered.

my email right now (uclink4.berkeley.edu) is my primary account so id really like to keep that private. i'd like to change it to a not so private email account that is also on the berkeley server. however, that account (let's call it account B) is already registered. i think the computer messed up and associates that acct with me, but wont let me change it in the profile menu.

when i try to change it to "email account B" in the profile menu, it says it's already registered to another user. shortly after however, it sends me an email notice on "email account b" that my email has been changed and gives me a temp password that doesnt work.

id really like to change my email in the profile visibility to "email account b" ... is there any way someone could unlock any issues that are blocking my usage of it? (the forums thinks its registerd to someone else) i think theres a glitch somewhere
