... to drop the Rambus complaint against Hyundai (as reported @ The Register).

Does nobody else anticipate the precedent in this? At last - a win for free enterprise :)

I was expecting a 60-response thread on the subject to render me back to my usual lurker status :) but - nothing

I'll be waiting for NFS4 to cross-refer me to an earlier thread ;)

Well yes, I did do some research

And got a bit paranoid that it was redundant news

But hey, I read up on the judge-shopping incident when it happened. And I think this is a bona fide coffin-nail for Rambus' litigation in the U.S and I can only hope that Mannheim follows suit.

And if it's not obvious by now, I've been following the threads because I think RMBS' business practices are repugnant. Call me a sucker but I believe Infineon when they say Rambus were deceitful during the time of their JEDEC particicipation.

ah this is just the official word from ITC about Rambus not suing Hyundai.

Rambus stopped suing Hyundai because they didnt like the judge, they thought he was to fair moraly and not legaly. The best thing is the judge ruled that if ever again Rambus decided to sue again using these claims the case would allways go to him.
