I can't believe my TDK 16/10/40x CDRW just died...

Well, when I first bought it it worked... But I haven't used it much in the past month...

When I went to us it yesterday, I started having problem, until now, Its just dead. I can't even read a CD...

2 Months.... RIP...

Anyone know how to get in touch with TDK RMA department???

Oh?... You've already eliminated the possibility of a software conflict, bad IDE cables? RMA information should be in the manual if you have one.

Yeah, I've had it in two systems now, and I can't even see a CD... Its configured properly, and even used to work...

one last idea if the lazer has a spec on it it could do that a CD cleaning disk is available at radioshak or Costco I saw one in Costco 2 years ago.
worth a try b4 y spend the shipping and agravation.
There may be a way to manually cleane it by opening but u risk a warantee cancellation.

I hate buying a new product, having it fail, and then getting a referb product back...
