I picked up the Logitech harmony remote that's made for the 360.

I just got so fed up with having a gazzilion remotes, so I picked this up. Setup is a breeze, it connects to your pc with a usb cable and it does all the work. There were some more expensive ones with color lcds but I couldn't imagine how bad those things ate the batteries. I am pretty please so far with this.

I got the Harmony 550.. It's okay..

It had a delay built into it for 'hardware compatibility' that annoyed the living hell out of me when trying to fast-forward and rewind my DVR. I found a way to remove that in the software.

There's still some things that annoy me.. Apparently my 37" Polaroid LCD TV cannot switch inputs directly so I have to wait for the remote to run a macro for 'playing game' or 'watch pvr' commands.

Also, the 'rewind 3 seconds' button wasn't defined on teh controller and I had to do it myself (and I still can't get it to work).

Other than that, I'm pretty used to the controller now. I think I probby should've gotten one of the nicer ones.. but I'm pretty damn picky.

heck, I'm thinking about getting the 300$ one. The one lost for my ceiling fan runs $40 itself. To have one that does all my components plus my light dimmer, fan and fireplace. Win win.

My dad's got an awesome lcd color remote for his theater room. It controls EVERYTHING. And I mean everything. Projector, DVD player(s), Stereo, it even controls the lights and the the projector screen.

Great remote. I picked the same one up about 2 weeks ago from amazon.com for 93 shipped. It works great with media center and transcode 360 :)

I've been too lazy to fully set up my 880 after I switched out the majority of my components. :(

Two times I finally set aside some time to do it and Logitech's site was down

Well, a good universal remote with the ability to learn costs about that much.
Coupled with the fact that its an overpriced Xbox piece of shite and I'd say you got a deal.

(Sorry about the hate. I dont think much of consoles these days.)

Does it work when you are on the couch and it is on the table.... or does it require a remote for that?

would you rather get the one for the 360 or the 880? can you control the 360 with the 880 harmony remote?

When I was setting up my 880 last time I saw options for the ps2. I imagine you'd be able to do with 360 with it too.

I didn't want one with a color screen because of the battery situation.

The 880 has a docking station that keeps it charged.

I just ordered one of these for my 360 as well ($94 shipped from newegg). I've heard good things about it...hopefully it won't disappoint.
