I just turned 29 and I feel like I'm in my late teens.

I feel like a man-child that never accomplish anything, I never had a car, I never even had a girlfriend, and never went to college.

I feel like a loser that wasted his youth.

Well, that is good in a way because it means you are still a child at heart. I am old and grumpy. Remember the Yoda quote: "Truly wonderful, the mind of a child is."

I wasn't ready to settle down until my 30s. In the last five years I've gotten married, bought a house, moved cross country, and had a kid. None of those things were in the cards when I was 29. Life comes at you fast.

Just wait till you're 70 and still feel this way.
In life the only thing that matters is working for a company where you have A PENSION. The 401K and social security just isn't gonna do it. ;)

I have clothes older than OP.
I nearly have posts older than the op.

The past that freaks me out is it feels like 1994 was just yesterday. Lots of things happened, but doesn't feel that long ago.

But the scary part is extrapolating that out, that the next 30 years will be at least as fast

It's weird to think Kurt Kobain killed himself when I was in elementary school. It's such a cultural thing, feels like it happened in the 60's or something.

As for OP, I took felt like I had a somewhat wasted youth (thanks overwhelmed parents and videogames) but at 39 I'm trying to make up for lost time. Had the kid first, then settled down, but kids are great wingpeeps when learning or doing something new.

You seem to be on the right path. Keep your head in a good place and try to leave stuff better than when you arrived all else will work out

I was talking to my son in law yesterday. I was telling him a story about my wife and I when we were dating and on impulse went to Universal Studios with only the money in our pockets. I said this was before there were ATMs so we could not stop and get more money. He looked confused and said "Wait, what? When were ATMs invented." You could tell he was having trouble understanding life without ATMs.

I can't believe I always think Taylor Swift is older than me when she is actually younger.
