Yeah, in all seriousness, I've never heard of using glue to mount drywall, and I have hung a fair bit of drywall in my time. I have always used nails to tack it, then screws to secure it.

Drywall can be glued directly to basement walls if done correctly, but not necessarily recommended. But wood glue? I don't know about that.
