I cant believe how much glue it takes to finish a room!!

I'm investing in the Wood Glue company. Wife wanted to finish the basement, I think I've used 4 cans of glue to put up the drywall and I'm not even half done!! :frown:

There has to be a better way.

Yeah, in all seriousness, I've never heard of using glue to mount drywall, and I have hung a fair bit of drywall in my time. I have always used nails to tack it, then screws to secure it.

Even if you have bare concrete, wouldn't you put in framing and mount the drywall to that?

Drywall can be glued directly to basement walls if done correctly, but not necessarily recommended. But wood glue? I don't know about that.
