I mean all the other big name and small name stores have websites, but why not Fry's electronics? I want to check out some of the prices on some products I might want to purchase but to do that i'd have to ask my neighbor for his newspaper ad.
that is like totally screwed up, they are the biggest and baddest electroinics store in the sf bay area, and all that have is that "website" pitching thier isp.
The reason they have no website is because someone registered their web site and Fry's took em to court in a nasty legal battle. I forgot most of what happened but Fry's won but never really put a website up. Fry's return policy sucks though, and most of the stuff there you can find cheaper online anyway.
Even if they HAD a website, I still wouldn't buy anything from them... they have the habit of putting used merchandise back on the shelf with a little white tag on it identifying what it is...
If I ought something online, there'd be no guarantee it would be new, knowing the way Frys works...
i know, but I want to check out the pricing, just the prices.
I bought an ISA 56k modem back in february and they had 100s of them stacked. ALL of them had the white return sticker on them, couldn't read what it said, but I still bought it.
lol, http://www.frysad.com is funny I can't believe some bozo acutally made a daily website dedicated to Fry's advertisements. Well... its hella useful though, checking it now
I think it is because Fry's electronics is privately owned. Funny thing is in arizona there is also a fry's food and drug. So when fry's electronic came here, the made sure that they staed they where not affiliated with fry's food and drug.
they put the little tags on the new ones now too. And they reshrink wrap. I went there looking for a celeron 533, and you could tell half of them had piece of the core chipped off from people using them (pretty much every coppermine has telltale signs like that once u use it especially witha gorb)
You don't got to Fry's just for the electronics you go for the cool themed stores The one here in burbank is all aliened out hehehehe... Also it's better than best buy and stuff cause they have EVERYTHING and you can open up stuff and check it out... So like if you aren't gonna buy stuff it's just a cool place to go to and fool around with stuff.
