I Can't Afford My Gasoline

Eh, it's only $3.50 here, and most of the increase is due to the hurricane. Much bigger problems in the world than the price of gasoline, which is still not that expensive.

I paid $50 here in connecticut for gasoline and i didn't even fill my tank all the way up... WTF?!?!?!?!

I live in Southern Cali and the we havent felt the affects yet...gas prices are still in the 2.90-3 range over here...but all the cars my family own are Japanese cars so they conserve more gas

Oh the noes!!!111!!!! Not $50! How will you be able to feed your starving children and drive that new car when you have to pay $50 to fill the tank?

Oh, btw, cry me a river. If you don't like the price, don't fill up. If you can't afford it, take a few financial management classes to figure out where you've screwed up.

Uh if i don't fill up now, it's going to go up TOMORROW AND COST ME MORE.

Stupid.

It blames oil companies and investers for prices, as if they control the market.

Funny how it ignorantly points fingers at the present admin... as if they have any control at all.

LOL. By filling up today anticipating a price rise tomorrow, you are worsening the problem.

That is BS, it evens out because eventually everyones tank is full..... worst case is it causes a 1-2 day price spike if EVERYONE did it.

Now for me, I have to fill up every other day anyway so /shrug

By not filling up I meant take a bus, train, bicycle, motorcylce, van/carpool, or walk. The price of a non-renewable resource will only go up with time. I thought that was an easy enough concept, but apparently a few people missed it. This means that if you were budgeting gas to stay at $2/gal forever, you screwed up.

I'd hate to see the other budgeting blunders you've made, given how blatently dumb this one was. Maybe that's why you have to whine about $50 for a fill up?

A one or two day spike can be devastating. Witness Atlanta and what the panic buying of gas caused there.

Anyone who panic buys is a fscking idiot.
