Everything I have tried to unzip has failed or stated it has a corrupt file. It can not be a coincidence that everything I have download in the past 2 weeks is corrupt. I tried both WINZIP and WINDOWS standard zip program. Is there a way I can fix this and I do not know why its corrupt?

Are you downloading from IE? Are they in your temp dir? I know I've gotten corrupt zips in temp files for whatever reason. Can you zip and unzip something locally?

try 7zip. also try to find files with md5sums and then compare your downloaded file to it.
do the sizes match?

Definitely check md5sums. If they aren't matching it is possible you're having memory errors. Memtest86 is good for checking memory.

Last time I heard of someone at work with "corrupted zip" issues it was a virus issue. Check the virus/spyware sticky in the Software forum.

Clear your internet cache. IE will corrupt zips when its cache gets too full and you use the 'Open' download feature instead of 'Save'.

Thanks for that remarkable comment. In the meantime, its sounds like no one has a solution. Thank you for your efforts.
