I cannot hibernate.

My system specs are:
AMD64 venice 3800+
512 dual channel ram
Abit KN8 nforce4 ultra
x1900xtx
WD80 g hdd.
Windows XP SP1
When I attempt to hibernate, the computer will hibernate as normal, but once the system turns off it immediately turns back on.
Any help?
Thanks.

i would advise standbye mode instead unless your trying to save every penny on energy consumption
hibernate just dumps files to hardrive instead of ram
