This has been driving me crazy. First off here is the set up:
1. Win XP Pro pc connected to linksys router. gets ip of 24.24.45.x and works fine alone
2. win xp mce pc connected to same router has 24.93.27.x and works fine alone
When both are on only one can get to internet at a time. I have to repair the connection on the other machine and then that becomes the active internet pc. How can I fix this and why are there these two different ip ranges?
Second:
Both are a part of a workgroup conveniently named "workgroup". I have file and print sharing enabled on both. When I go into the network places folder I can only see the drive on the local machine I am viewing, not the drive of the other pc. Its like this on both machines. I ran net setup wizard and made a floppy and ran it on both machines also.
Any help on any or all of these issues would be great. If I left something out of importance let me know.
thanks
