Here's the info:
P4 3Ghz 800MHz bus speed.
Prod. Code: BX80532PG3000DSL6WU
MM# 852639
FPO/BATCH#: L342B049
Version#: C30475-008
Pack Date: 11/15/2003
Made in Malaysia. Why does it says "Made in Malaysia" instead of "Packaged in Malaysia?"

The only stepping I found was SL6WK.
I wonder if this is the M0 stepping?

Thanks for any info.

you got a nice chip there!!!

It's a XXXXBXXX which are supposedly good ones...

i've been looking for a "B" one for a while but can't seem to find one... :(

PastorJay got his "B" up to 3.8 ghz on air! so good luck with that chip!

where did you get it from?

I just ordered one from Newegg and hoping to get a B as well.

It's a long story but I will make it short. A friend works for Staples and I work for OM, but I do not qualify for the Intel deal a few months ago. However, he does not want to wait for the backorder. So he took my 2.4Ghz and gave me this 3Ghz. So it's from the Intel deal. Just the chip. I am just running it at 3Ghz now. I know some of you guys think it would be a waste but I am saving up some $$$ to buy better RAM. I got the Kingston HyperX PC3000, two 512MB sticks. They are running at ratio 1:1 on my Abit IS7.

I just tried 250FSB with 5:4 ratio and no go. My old 2.4C did fine at 250FSB. I guess this chip is not as good as the other few. I have the Swiftech MCX4000 cooler with AS5.

Since it is a multivid what did it intially set its default vcore at..check that in actual vcore cause if it is like my abit mobo default just says default and maybe this chip is running 1.475v and if you manually set it to another vcore....

Also that is a 3ghz with a 15x multiplier so doesn't that make it 3750mhz??? That is pretty high for air cooling...

How can you measured for sure? My IS7 shows up in the BIOS as 1.525V. Motherboard monitor shows 1.5V. I am not sure what the exact is. I was trying to see if I can reach 3.8Ghz. I will try some other overclock later.
Thanks.

hitting 3.8 is pure luck...

especially on air...

i knw that pj did it but i haven't heard of a lot of people hitting 3.8 w/o phase change or chilled water...

good luck either way!

OK. I got the chip to 3.4Ghz at default voltage and passed all tests, PCMark, Prime 95, Memtest. I had to use 5:4 ratio though.
