The search thing has baffled me for too long and I asked for for further directions.

Got several helpful suggestions and found that I could search for threads that I originated or contributed to from July 1, 01 back to June2, 01 and from April 30, 01 and beyond .... but I can't find what i posted in the month of MAy.

Any ideas on how I can do that?

The REAL problem is that about a month ago I complained that my burner software would not recognize my burner's existance and after lots of prodding and help from readers I stumbled on to what was wrong.

Well, it happened again! And I have forgotten the remeady and can't find the thread in which i reported my dismal progress and what actually in the end worked.

How can I find this thread?

Please advise.

Thanks.

Well, maybe for you it does, but it doesn't for me. I have less than 50 posts in June of 01 and probably less in May of 01 (and that sum is certainly less than 1000) and I can not read down beyond June 2nd to May 01.

I can get from April 30th 01 back quite some ways.

But what I want is in MAy.

So how do I get there?

Maybe I'm not explaining myself correctly.... queueing on me, hychka, as the author, I'm (a senior ...about 300 posts...member) looking for my May '01 posts. By using "current" I only can get down to June 2nd. Using the other alternative I can only from April 30 to way back and who cares. Using the dates dspecific, I still get today back to about June 2nd. Use my name and try it yourself. Tell me what I'm dioing wrong...please.

I ran a query right through the database server, as I suspected the thread doesnt exist. It may have been deleted, no idea. But there is no thread started by you in may. Search is fine :). Your thread is not :).
