My plan was to get a Thermaltake Armor series case, mainly because of all the room it offered and it had some looks to it.
Now im looking at a Silverstone TJ-06, mainly because of performance.

But i cant decide between those two, or if theres a better one that has the best of both worlds (looks/room and performance).

Any suggestions or opinions??
(If you suggest anything, it needs to be under $150, have a window and be at least a Mid-Tower size)

What's the window needed for? Afraid the parts might be copulating without consent while you are not looking? ;)

Ok, ok, I'll try not to be so mean and base for a moment because you obviously have the sense to know you need more room in a case than simply the space to cram it all in like 5 pounds in the 1 pound bag. Unfortunatley, there are few no nonsense cases out there. Of these cases, none of them are within your budget. There are some that are within $30.00 U.S. of what you are asking for and yes, I respect your budget concerns enough to know you want to do this right the first time. If you can add another $50.00 U.S. to the budget so you'll end up with a case that will serve not just this build, but the build 10 years from now well, let us know and I'll go Googling about to try and help you.

Well, ill humor the idea of stretching my budget for now to see what you can come up with. Who knows, i may like it enough to want it.

And is the Silverstone TJ-06 or Thermaltake Armor not a good (or at least decent) case?

The Aerocool Spiral Galaxies is by far the least expensive of the cases that use the same base chassis as the TJ-06 (Enermax also has one, the 718 I think). I don't see the point of that upside-down design myself - really screws up the air-flow patterns.

. If you just need a lot of drive bays, with a bit of elbow room to work in, check out the Yeong Yang small cube ( http://www.yycase.com ) or some of the cases here: http://www.servercase.com (I particluarly like their CK-800 series) or here: http://www.buildtoorderservers.com . Even some of the new Thermaltake cases like the Eureka or the Armor Jr. might have potential.

Good and decent are subjective terms, but I understand what you are trying to get at here. The fact that you are honest enough about what you are doing to at least consider stretching the budget is enough for me to try and help you.

I'm gonna go Googling for server cases first. They don't have the "spiffy" thing going for them and all, but we'll see if you can tolerate what I come up with. Actually, I'm NOT trying to disregard your needs or even your tastes in style of case. I'm just rather frustrated that there aren't cases a plenty out there based on total airflow laid out well and space, which is as Kirk said, seems to still be the final frontier for us in choosing a functional product!

Lian Li cases under $100

Lian Li cases under $200

I personally like PC-60, I have 2 and PC-7, I have one.
The design, engineering and quality are my reasons for getting Lian-Li.
Oh, I do like the front intake fans cooling my hardrives and the sliding mobo trays.
I have Yate Loon 120mm/80mm fans for quiteness in all 3 cases. Best hidden secret as addons.
You can't get better cool cases.
