I can receive the Iraq Satellite Channel!

Thanks to my ISP which thought it would be funny to provide it together with several US and European news stations 🙂
Strangely enough it's still broadcasting, I had presumed it would be out too.

It's showing Iraqi soldiers parading, interviews with soldiers, and old video footage of Saddam. Quite funny to see, 24/7 of propaganda, now I need to get an Arabic friend of mine to come over and translate it for me 😛

Edit: They seem to be claiming that it's a war against Arabs and Islam all the time in a vague attempt to get people to actually fight for Saddam still.

Edit 2:
open IE, goto Tools > Internet Option > Connections > LAN settings > Click "Use proxy...." then paste in 24.132.205.46 in the host and put in 80 in the port. Then goto the page and click the REalmedia links. They work... windows media links don't though.

I wouldn't mind having a look.

Most likely just members of my provider, as it's part of an experiment by my ISP.

Try www.dsltv.nl, and see if you can click on the buttons next to Iraq Satellite Channel.

Got an easy prog to do so? Don't have high upload btw, so it won't work if it needs me to upload the stream to you.

Trying to capture some of it with Hypercam, but it only captured audio on the first try, and they are showing a crappy song with people folk dancing at the moment 🙁

Edit: And now they're walking through the ruins of one of the struck buildings, with no sound and hardly any lighting 🙁

I found an anonymous proxy in the netherlands (24.132.205.46 port 80) here. But i couldn't get the stream to work. 🙁
Give it a try.

Rough translation of the news:

1. Saddam talking about how much Iraqis would get for shooting planes/choppers/soldiers
2. Claim that the crashed chopper was acttually shot down by them
3. Claim that the US/UK has only targetted civilian buildings so far and has only killed civilians
4. Several of his high commanders claiming they will fight till the end, and that their 12 year old sons wont put down their gun either until they will have won

HAHAHa, this is so funny! They've got some band on right now... I could only understand a few words like "Bush" and "America"... otherwise just sounds like jibberish to me.

As for how I'm connecting, open IE, goto Tools > Internet Option > Connections > LAN settings > Click "Use proxy...." then paste in 24.132.205.46 in the host and put in 80 in the port. Then goto the page and click the REalmedia links. They work... windows media links don't though.

EDIT: Btw, it's really good quality... almost the quality of a TV card when full screen. THough the connection does drop out every few minutes and it has to rebuffer.

Is anyone else watching this?? It rocks!!! Skyclad1uhm1 you should update your first post with the instructions on how to view it outside of the Netherlands (http proxy server 24.132.205.46 port 80...realplayer stream.)
