I can not play quicktime file properly on laptop but it plays great on desktop?

I have reinstalled the os on my laptop and codecs on my laptop and i still cant play this certain quicktime file. And I am not sure why?

The funny thing is it plays fine on the desktop. Do laptops have different audio settings. I have alot of these videos to watch (actually there lectures for school) but I want the convienence of reviewing them when and where I please.

Can anyone help me with this? Has anyone experience similar problems.
 
Does anyone have any clue. The wierd thing is that some files will play fine while others will not play on the laptop while everything else plays well on the desktop
 
Sounds like you may not have installed all of the laptop's proprietary drivers. Each OEM is different. Each has its own specific audio drivers.

Did it work before you did the reinstall of the OS? Did you use the laptop's own restore CD or partition?
