Hello,

This is killing me. I can no longer access Intel's web site - http://www.intel.com

Using IE6, XPSP2, etc. Tried with other browsers but no good. Made negative post about AMD on another forum (which i WILL never do again) but guess that was only coincidence😉.

Any ideas?.....please

Screenshots? Make sure there's no entry in your HOSTS file (\Windows\system32\drivers\etc) for www.intel.com

And look for other odd entries there - there should really be only one there - 127.0.0.1 localhost.

This is frustrating, last week went to get some drivers and could not poke through.

OK as far as my (\Windows\system32\drivers\etc) it contains:

hosts
lmhosts
networks
protocol
quotes
services

Hope i didnt somehow block it with my firewall....weird.

Thanks. I wanted to check out 2.4Xeon which i ordered ($185 ea.) last week which of course arrived with non matching, the reseller was cool about it so have to ship back. Sure you could suggest AMD.COM...havent used AMD since K6 Egg Fryer Model but a new 64bit could be in my future😀

If you guys could think of anything else with http://www.intel.com problem it would be great.

P.S It dont work with Opera neither🙁

Open up the hosts file in Notepad.

Oh, check your router for things too if you have a hardware router like linksys, dlink . . . ect.

You can block web addresses with some routers, and most routers have remote admin ports, most routers are left at default settings and most forums log IP's . . . if you catch my drift. The odds of this are of course remote, but hey its an idea.
