I can hear my CDrom spinning in my speakers

Does anybody know how to cure this? When I put in a cdrom (game, audio or data) I can hear it spinning through the speakers. Any suggstions?

Yuck, that would be a pain.

Try disconnecting the audio cable (you can enable digital audio extraction if it works).
Try moving the SC down a few slots (assuming it's not onboard)
If is on board, try getting a SC, something cheap like a SB PSI 128 should help.
