I can get Windows 7 Enterprise for free through school.

A month or two ago I pre-ordered Windows 7 Home Premium when it was on sale for $49. Then, last week, I got an e-mail from my university saying that a deal with Microsoft had just been inked, and certain MS software is now available for free for the students to download. I just checked out the offerings, and discovered that I can get Windows 7 Enterprise for free. My question is whether you would recommend installing the free Enterprise version, or whether Home Premium is better, and I'd be better off installing it?

Free is certainly better, but I was wondering whether Home Premium would have features that Enterprise didn't - features that I'd want to use at home (media center, stuff like that). But from the Googling I've done since the OP, it looks like Windows 7 Enterprise actually has all the features of Windows 7 Professional, plus a few more. So I guess free it is!

I just checked out your rig and it looks like you'll want to run 64 bit for sure. I go to the University of MN and I can only get 32 bit versions through the school. Maybe you can download both versions because I know the deal varies from school to school but it's definitely something to look into...
