I was fed up with my piss poor battery life from work (a low signal area) so I caved and bought this:

I don't mind the bulge and actually rather like having that "ledge" to hold on to. Can't notice it in my pocket and it's more comfortable to hold. I still use the free version of juice defender just because, but I'm getting an easy 2 days out of it so far in an area that used to leave me pretty much dry by dinner. When I'm actually in an area with signal I may actually be able to reach 3 days with light use.

Even if you're a heavy user, having a battery that'll last all day without swapping would be pretty nice I imagine. Totally worth the money and slight bulge to have this kind of life in a SGS 2.

Have you noticed any uneven charges when charging on the new battery? I have read of issues in the past of Android not showing the correct battery life percentages.

I've got the smaller 5600 mAh version and it is good stuff... also use to charge up bluetooth headphone, thought it could do iPad but It cannot....I believe the bigger chargers can...I have a 1.5 ft micro usb cord (which you need in order to charge off the anker charger) that is small enough to be easy to carry around in a bag but long enough to use in the wall or for syncing with the laptop.

However, the extended battery would still be nice... if I could find one that would fit underneath the otterbox.

I've heard that some of those extended batteries don't live up to the advertised capacity. Someone on XDA did a bunch of testing. Then again, the slim batteries often don't either, so it's still an upgrade. Glad this one is working out for you.

In my case, my Epic's battery was getting a bit weak after almost two years of use so I bought an OEM Samsung Galaxy S2 battery, which still fits in the original Galaxy S. Capacity upgraded from 1500 to 1800 mAh, and it's a fresh new battery instead of a worn down one. I still keep the 1500 around as a backup. Overall I'm quite happy with it, it seems to last more than a full day on a charge even if I'm not careful, more than I could say for my old battery.

Thing is, battery capacity isn't TOO big a deal for me since I have chargers at home and at work, but there are still situations where I want the extra capacity. I hate the feeling of not being able to use my phone for fear of it dying.

Those Ankers are useful for much more than just charging your phone. I use a vapor king storm and one of those Ankers would charge it, and all our phones, my camera battery charger, a usb AA battery charger, and my kid's DS for a full trip. Could even run an LED lantern all night too.
