did you even read the OP?

He's using a Palm device that he hates right now. ANYTHING is going to be better than that. If he can get a good deal on this phone now, get it. If anything, he can ebay/craiglist it later on and get into something better.

I was just replying to that guy who was talking about Windows Phone 7. You guys already covered all the OPs concernse, though I personally would get an HD2 over a TP2, but Sprint doesn't offer the HD2 so...

I'm on a $30 SERO plan too (thanks to Anand HD forum!).

Any opinions on the LG Lotus Elite? I just want a small phone with good sound clarity, good battery life and keyboard is a bonus.

Whats a good "I'm not a phone guy" phone for a SERO user?
The TP2 in the OP actually looks ok.
Current phone is a Samsung a900 if that matters as an example...

Some people are telling me that Windows Mobile 6 sucks, etc, and it's best to wait for 7. On one hand it sucks to buy old tech when new stuff is just around the corner...but honestly, what are the chances of Winmo7 phones being available on SERO? I'm guessing somewhere between zero and..well, zero. :(

The only other reason I could think of to wait would be if the price for the TP2 would drop substantially when new phones come out. I don't know, though, as I think the price just dropped now.

I was in the same boat as you.
I held out on the sero plan as long as I could.
I have the pro touch for a while and wanted to get the TP2 but that damm thing was $349.
I would have gladly paid that and stay on the sero plan but it has the same component as the pro touch with a bigger screen so I held out.
I told myself that I will ditch the sero if the holy grail phone ever come along.
Well, that holy grail phone for me is the HD2 so I finally ditched my SERO.
I'm only paying $60 a month on Tmobile which is not bad compared to $80+ on ATT or Verizon.

Well since the sero plan have unlimited data might as well get a phone to take advantage of it. On craigslist you can find a touch diamond or touvh pro for cheap($100).
Both are the same except the pro has a slide out keyboard.
