I can edit everyone's text..??

I didn't notice this before but I don't believe that it was there before...

Under everyone's text it has the edit button...i can even click it on and it will let me enter their message..haven't gone all the way to see if I can truly edit their message though..

Ok..I tried it and it finally says I can't edit another person's text...

Has the edit button ALWAYS appeared under someone else's posts'..I thought previously the edit button was only under my own posts???
 
Edit button's been there as long as I've been on the boards. Officially 4 months, but I was lurking for 3 before that.
 
it's good for copying other people's post into your own for quoting stuff they said; copying the text from the post directly will insert annying spaces in front of each line

it's been around for quite a few months, it wasn't there in july, not certain as to when it was implemented
