Whats wrong with some of you people? Worried that he would damage your car? BS, you wouldnt hesitate to ask if your sorry ass was stranded with a dead battery.

What does being 70 miles from home have to do with being ticketed? And why were you ticketed anyway, you weren't stuck in the middle of a road.

I've always given people jumps if they needed them. I've also asked for jumps and received them. *shrug*

But then, I also know how to use the cables.

Sure you guys can argue that you would do it but at the same time, this same type of situation has lead to kidnapping, murder, rape, etc. You cannot be TOO safe these days. I would also prefer my wife not just help out anybody who needs a lift or a boost. Specifically for security reasons.

Every time I've helped somebody or they've helped me out, we've been in a fairly populated area (convenience store) and not in the middle of BFE.
