I broke it kinda in half, needless to say it doesn't hold the stick in any more. I was wondering if I could just take that one off and replace it. If so where do i get another one. Secondly, if that don't work, do you think super glue would be enough to hold it in place. Any other suggestions welcome?

The clips are just for holding the memory securely in place. You can use super glue after pushing in the memory really tight. Bitch to remove, though.

You can put it in without the clip and it will probably stay just fine. I'd stick it in put the clip over it, glue it..and you should be peachy.

Yeah i thought about just not using the clip, but if you use one it pushes the other side out of place. I can try it without them, but first i will try to glue it back on. I don't even know how it busted. Thanks.

are you using a DIMM?

if so, it should not be much of a problem.. those two things on dimm sockets are more for removal than securing... the dimm sockets are quite tight...

if you want to be more careful, you can use some HOT GLUE to remove it... hot glue is pretty much some plastic that one melts to become an adhesive... it's easy to remove when it's cooled if you know how to apply it that way...

super glue will get absorbed by the pcb... (edge wise that is)

if it's simm, uh, you're going to have to think some more ;-)

if it's sipp, that's some old piece of sh!t you have...
