I got the Razer Mamba wireless/wired gaming mouse. I currently have the Razer Lachesis and alto the Mamba doesn't have 2 pinkie buttons its ok. Ive had it with wire. This is dual wireless and wired just in case battery goes while fragging. It has a cool dock you put the mouse on too for charge.

www.razerzone.com sells for 129.99. But I bought from www.amazon.com for 110 dollars free shipping. It will arrive on Tuesday and I will give a full review on it

specs

1ms poll, 1000hz 5600DPI laser wireless 200 inch per second.

Lachesis rocks cuz it has 9 buttons ,, both sides have 2 buttons each for 4 ,, then 5 on the mouse.... I will put shipping for $4.95 remember its used but its brand new condition always cleaned properly, and cleaned lense with alchohol and qtip etc.. includes box manuals and certiface and driver CD,, Also the mouse firmware has been updates to latest one,, soo no flaws on mouse.. I should have a review of the Mamba by tuesday. :) stay tuned.

i've already had my Razer Mamba for quite a while. Here is my review.
:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

Prepare for disappointment cause the battery life on this sucker really f*** sucks....and trust me, it only gets worse over time. You better buy a couple batteries and plan to swap often.

Prepare to be annoyed as when it dies, it will do so while your in the middle of something, so you have to unplug the dongle from the charger and plug it into your Mouse and be wired for the next few hours.

Prepare to realize that pixel accuracy is not a substitute for skills in Battlefield.

Prepare as this thing really hates standbye mode, it does not like to function once standbye has resumed.

Prepare as the scroll wheel will start to squeak after about 8 months, WD40 will be your new friend.

Prepare as the cool neon blue lights are so bright at night as to distract you from your game and you end up shutting them off in the driver.

Prepare as you upgrade to a new firmware, to have another mouse handy as you upgrade both the dock and mouse in a nice time consuming process...i already bricked it once, though its fixable.

Prepare to get tired of the B.S. and end up keeping it plugged in wired all the time.

Congratulations, its at this point you realize you now have the equivalent of a $50 wired mouse :awe:...thanks for playing.

*almost forgot to mention. It also sucks cause it has no A/C adapter, so in order to charge it, you need your PC on...just one more reason as to why eventually, you WILL leave it plugged in.
Also, its pretty darn heavy for a mouse

battery life might not be too bad at lower DPI's, but the whole thing is sooo annoying its just not worth it.
However, i also have the Logitech Revo which isnt a gamer mouse but at least its battery life is far, far longer and its dock uses an A/C adapter to charge.

seriously, just send it back, get an SSD as suggested or something.

Wow system mechanic . I mean Ive come to expect how Razer products have issues but its good hardware. Looks like you hated your mouse. I read battery life is something like 72 hours,,

I would put the mouse on the charging dock every night before I sleep. Soo I will not have any battery issues.. Whole point Im geting it is to not use the wire and go wireless,, tired of taping wire everywhere and the friction. Ive gotten Razer products since the Boomslang in 1999 , then their different mice,, for me they work great,, also got their Tarantula with Battle Light and Megalodon 7.1 usb set...

maybe if you never move your mouse. lol. you don't really believe specs on paper do you? Notice they never say exactly how it was rated or at what DPI. But many major review sites have also collaborated my experience

The Razer Mamba is a wonderful wireless gaming mouse, with an absolutely devastating power problem............

At the end of the day, we simply stopped using the Mamba as a wireless mouse, instead preferring to leave the cord permanently plugged in. We’d much rather have an awesome wired mouse (at a wired mouse price) than have the battery conk out during a heated TF2 match,

Cons

  • Expensive™
  • Battery life isn't the best
  • Software and firmware has shown issues in the past (check out the forum at the end of this article to find out the current state of play)
  • Time-consuming to set up - requires driver download, firmware upgrade (for stand and mouse),

Hate it?? ....not if it costs $50 but for $130..even $110 its stupid...i'm just being honest, take it however you wish. But wireless mice like this sounds better than it actually is in the long run...you'll enjoy it for a while, but you'll wire it permanently at some point, if not for battery life, then cause it sleeps too quick taking a few secs to wake up.

I would put the mouse on the charging dock every night before I sleep. Soo I will not have any battery issues..

Only if you leave your PC on at night. I'm not wasting that kind of juice just to charge a mouse but maybe you fold or something. But the life span isnt the only annoyance as you'll realize at some point.

at the end of the day, its really no better than any other gaming mouse.

Hell of a mini-review Sys. I'm not touchin that thing...

FYI - you can charge via USB on most Gigabyte motherboards when the computer is off.

Ive owned. Boomslang 2000DPI ball mouse in 1999 2000
a BFG Boomslang newer version..
Logitech G7 at my cousins.
Razer Diamondback
Razer Copperhead
Razer Lachesis my current mouse that is about to be unplugged if USPS does their job .

Razer products have quality in them. Smooth lots of buttons ,, not plastic buttons ,, nice grip and feel.

I have never experienced anything what System Mechanic said which of course I have to wait for my Mamba .. But I tell you if you use it right, you wont have problems. like..

upgrading firmware. upgrade drivers
Put it on charge dock over night every night
Use it on a proper mouse surface

Ive loved every Razer product including my Tarantula with Battle Light ,,, other keyboards are cheap ,, this is amazing. Megalodon 7.1 USB ,, hps,, has its own POD with onboard sound card on it. so it doesnt use your sound card,, just usb connections,, 5 speakers in each cone,, amazing comfort.. BTW Ive owned the Barracuda 5.1 as well which connects to sound card and it sounded amazing. FEAR Deathmatch u heard people behind you and beside you up in the corner etc..

I think SE my friend you just not a Razer guy....

I will love my Mamba from day one like I have loved all my Razer products. Thanks

why do you keep saying they don't have plastic buttons? The buttons are plastic but have a rubber coating sprayed on

I recieved the Razer Mamba ,,,, here is my review.

It comes in a thick glass and has very sexy looks and comes certificate and bunch of mini books. Im using the mouse with the cord because the battery needs to be chaged but I need to use mouse now,, and I dont wanna connect my ole Lachesis dont have time for something to go wrong. Also this came with latest firmware so no reason to update firmware.

The Dock is soo stylie,, its sexy ,, the battery and underneath of mouse is top notch and I do have the black ring around the sensor area for friction so it doesnt move for no reason. Soo far with the cord I feel a difference from m y Lachesis,, Lachesis was nice 4000dpi but it had issues with friction, and how on a cotton pad which I use it would move the cursor would move on its own. Anyhow. I cant wait to use it wireless and see how that goes. I dont know how long it takes to change it. This was totally worth it,, its nice for my DAW as well,,, soo smooth and solid. Its worth it. Soo every night Im gonna put the mouse on the dock soo I have 16 hours worth of time which is enough.. I charge again each night.. amazing,,, soo stylie how it comes and how ieverything looks and what not.. It doesnt glow the Razer logo on the mouse like the Lachesis and Copperhead which is a downer, and also lacks the pinkie buttons like the Lachesis and Copperhead and diamond back. The two small button on the front I leave to adjust DPI ... I use side button as secondary attack and other side button as whatever I would put m pinkie usually too. :) Soo far IM a happy customer Ive payed 100 dollars before on mouse in 1999 boomslang I payed 110 free shipping from www.amazon.com and its worth it,,, cant wait to get it charged soo I can use without cord. everything on this is high tech,, wheel is nice,, there notches as usually unlike cheap mouse which it just roles,, doesnt click,,, feel is great, I would say its feel competitors is a G7 carbon fiber new version. Its perfect fit for me. I got large hands not medium.... its great I will get use to it in no time.... Also the mouse came with a black ring around the sensor,, which gives it friction soo I can use it on cotton pad unlike Lachesis the cursor doesnt move on its own... good stuff... Takes 3 hours to charge either on dock or connected wire mode. Last 14 hours of hard core gaming, and 52 hours of regular gaming or non gaming.

thats pretty cool, wish all mobo's had that option. I do remember having a mobo before with software that allowed you to download stuff..etc with everything else turned off...kinda like a standbye mode with very low power CPU usage or something?
it was handy sometimes.

I do have the black ring around the sensor area for friction so it doesnt move for no reason.

what sucks is that ring will wear down over time and be slick as a wet ho on friday....i do recommend getting the Razer exactmat mouse pad, its pretty awesome. The battery will need replaced in about 8-12 months.
I give you 4 months, 6 max and you will be back to wired mode. i went wired after about 3 months i think.

i wish the mouse had tilt scrolling like Logitech has...thats a feature that once you use, its hard to do without. Some weights like my G5 had would be nice as well.

Its 3 hours the charging time, that is great. connected wire mode or on the dock, and last 72 hours 54 hours of game play and 14 hours of intense non stop game play. Every night I will put the mouse on the sexy dock so in the morning I have a full charge,, and if I wanna game at nights I will have a charge on it.. Ill see soon how things are....

Jesus Christ, that makes me want too slit my own throat. You just don't get it. You are highly disliked.

Anyway, I've owned tons of mice and keyboards, both wired and wireless over the years, and I've never found price to correlate with quality in most of the products. Smaller companies charge more because they have to and might seem to use better materials, but the fact is that they all use similar internal components and are prone to failure and isues as much as the next one. The companies know this and I've never had a problem getting a replacement without even sending the old one in. This goes for Logitech, Microsoft, and the smaller companies (including Razer). You can try to justify the cost all you like, but in the end, a mouse simply isn't worth $100+, no matter what it's made of (FYI, they're all plastic), or how many buttons it has (that's what a KB is for).
Unless you're a dungeon dweller and spend all your time gaming while disregarding society and personal hygeine, feel free to spend money best used elsewhere.
