Whats the problem here?
They guy want a job but he can't lay off the weed long enough to detox and take the piss test himself...
So what ? The tests are bogus invasion of privacy. Plus you don't know his situation or why he is using MJ. maybe its medical usage and its not been legalized in his state. ignorance or stupidity either way your trolling.
If it's for a medical reason then why is he afraid of getting caught? If it hasn't been legalized in his state then it's ILLEGAL.
They want a job that's why they dont want to get caught, I thought that was apparent. Legality is irrelevant as well. The drug tests don't test for if you break the law or not.
The invasion of privacy part is questionable because he doesn't have to take the test.
Well you can CHOOSE to see it that way. Many disagree that your employer doesn't own you or your body outside of work. They don't own you inside of work for that matter. They are merely contracting your services for a period of time. In other words its none of their business what you do outside of work if it isn't impact your contracted services.
Durp. Durp.
exactly

Smoking marijuana is neither helpful nor legal. Invasion of privacy isn't the issue.
People willing to break the law outside the workplace are more likely to break it IN the workplace.
Synthetic THC for medication has been legal since the 80's. Smoking marijuana is neither helpful nor legal. Invasion of privacy isn't the issue.
It's all about how you get it in there. It isn't military or gubmint, or court-ordered so there won't be any observation of naughty bits. I have a female friend who is quite ***ahem*** well endowed and conceals a test tube containing her mom's urine under her breast. For dudes, between scrotum and thigh or underballs is a quite warm area. Under armpits is a little easier to pull off but might not be warm enough. Just tape it there - when its time, fill the vial with the fake urine, cap it off and put the empty test tube or whatever in your pocket.
You aren't committing a crime, just lying to a laboratory that reports to your future employer. The worst that can happen - You get busted and just walk out of the place. Fuck em.
A business has a choice when it comes to who they hire. Would I discriminate between a pot head programmer or a clean programmer? No. Does the company I work for? YES.
It comes down to the fact that if he REALLY wanted that job he should have laid off of the weed.
Neither of these statements are true. Smoking marijuana ***IS*** legal in certain jurisdictions or for certain people, even in illegal states.
Urinalysis for employment purposes IS an invasion of privacy that goes to far. It is essentially a medical test, the results of which my employer has no right to know. No my employer does NOT need to know what substances are excreted by my body. They have no business there and in my opinion - the practice should be outlawed.
You WAIVE your right to privacy when applying for the position. You don't have to, but then again, they don't have to hire you. Simple as that.
