Its a 2 door, and yeah it may look like a chick car.... but once I get in... doesnt feel that way anymore.

It's a honda every penny was worth it. It will outlast many American Cars 1000 times over. And will keep it's resale value till even after 10 years or more of use. In good condition you still can get buyers who would put down enough for you to make a down payment on another car....

I don't buy my cars for resale value cus I run them into the ground. Oh and don't let some of these haters talk shit to you, while I am a huge fan of torque I like the new civic si's even though I would never own a Honda. They are pretty nice cars. Just don't be an asshat driver like most are in those type of cars.

While Honda's have proven to be very reliable, when incorrectly maintained, they are no more reliable than any other car that is incorrectly maintained.

Oh no no, he's entirely correct. All Japanese cars last 500K miles, turn on a dime, get 50 MPG and out-accelerate everthing

BTW OP - congrats, but don't get too cocky. That TownCar will give you a run for your money, as it has a little thing called TORQUE.

That said, your car has an advantage of nearly every other car in its price range in the turns.

Depends on the year for the Towny. If it's a '98+ with the Touring package (meaning 3:27 gears, 230HP, 280 torque, performance shocks and springs) my vote goes for the RWD TC in both a straight line and the in the turns over the FWD Civic.

Congrats OP.

But be careful of GSR's, slightly modded they will pull on you.

Problem with the SI is you have to drop the clutch at a minimum of 5K to get a decent start. If you don't drop your clutch, that Lincoln will eat you for lunch.

Don't ever shift too early either because once you drop below the VTEC opening it's over. Nothing like revving your car to 7000 rpm to get adequate power.

The SI's handling it pretty poor stock as well, people claim it handles well but its spring rates and strut vavling is rather por and the car has lots of body roll.

Already I can see that list is flawed. I have seen stock Mk8 LSCs run 14s, that list claims 15s.

i say it's a good choice. Civic Si's hold their value exceptionally well. And it's a plus that its engine will not be able to be easily transplanted into another car.

congrads on the honda. I just got my new accord yesterday :). They are great cars and will last for as long as we want them to last. You probably know it but make sure you put premium in your SI.

Is there a reason you are shifting so late in 1st?
