Yes, i still hate apple but i admit their MP3 players are great.

Bought a 60gb iPod video. Downloading itunes now (unless anyone can tell me a way i can avoid using it to upload music onto it?) to upload my music onto it.

The packaging was very well done, almost as elegant as the product.

it is shiny, very shiny.........

PS: Does it charge thru the USB 2 port?

Cool. I just got a black 60GB today too. Was given as a present though - I wouldn't normally go out and buy something like that.

If you don't like iTunes, there's a program called EphPod that's supposedly good as well as a WinAmp plugin. I haven't used them, though, since I don't have an iPod.

2nd on the iTunes for huge catalogs. I have a pretty big stash of music and it works well with the "smart playlist" feature.

Oh, and don't let anybody tell you NOT to use iTunes. It rocks, especially for HUGE catalogs.

Foobar2000>>>>>>>>Winamp>>>>WMP>>>>spyware>>>>malware/viruses>>>iTunes

 on Foobar I don't know anything about iTunes though never used it

IMO about the only thing itunes rocks at are large libraries, everything else it tries to oversimplify. Anyway, Winamp has an ipod plugin to upload music, I'd assume it's farely basic, but there isn't exactly a whole lot to do anyway.

why in the world would you want to watch a full movie on that tiny screen.. heh. as for foobar... that thing is the most annoying player to use and customize.

If you are a foobar user, foo_pod is outstanding. However, it doesn't work with photos, album art, or videos (if you are into any of that).

... if you expect a player to work the way you want without any effort, than yes, it is annyoing.

However, if you like to configure every aspect of your software, it is amazing.
