my dream car

i finally bought one! 0wnage.

now back to consulting to pay for the single-turbo ;-)

i'm thinking about having a vanity plate made--i dont like all the anti-v8 ones, so im thinking about something truer to my tech backgrond...like '0WN3D' or 'L337'. i think that would be funny as hell.

$12,000
100k miles (not bad on a supra)
Supras run forever, they are HARD to find cheap--I got a very good deal. For those not up on the supra market, they sell 2-3 years old for list price all the time.

Veilsize front and sideskirts, Bomex wing.

Definitely gonna race it--no rice for this baby, just power ;-)

... and it is a manual transmission, otherwise it would be a disgrace of a sports car

WTF???!!! I was just thinking of posting how a Supra was my dream car and look what i see. LOL. Damn... i'm a college student right now and the only Supra I could afford is the NA one. As I see it... it would make sense to me because I could buy a high mileage NA supra and then save money later for everything else...like a conversion and since I'm gonne be getting rid of pretty much every factory item on there. powerhouseracing.com and toysport.com do both in case you're interested...and it costs $10,000. :) That's a pretty damn nice car...sigh...*jealous*.

it is not a TT.

I am going to do a single-turbo conversion. that yeilds more power, and is much cheaper.

more likely to piss some people off, i am 16 ;-)

but it's not my first car. my parents bought me a civic. i sold it, paid for the difference with my own funds. single-turbo conversion is very cheap. the only way to go is used, since it relaly makes no difference and used kits are a fraction of the price. espcialy since 90% of the kit (basically everything except the turbo) has no moving parts and really cannot wear out. a good turbo, used, will only cost $4-5k for the whole setup.

locutus4, realize that racing doesn't always mean going in a straight line for a quarter mile ;)

I'm sure your car would own the Supra on the quarter mile, but I think it would have trouble keeping up on a real race course.
